Hey all, on the 91 CRX's that had the rear disc brakes, did they come with the solid crossmember like the 1G integras had? I saw some guy driving along in a 1988 CRX and admired his rear discs. He then proceeded to pass me and I saw the solid cross member, and had to wonder if I was wrong about the year. Anywho, just random dribble, and curiosity is killing me.

I think your talking about the solid beam axels that OLDER Integras and Civic/CRXs had. No 4th Gens came with the solid beam axel, they all had independent rear suspensions. They all had trailing arms in the back, 88 had passive rear steering (ITR like control arms) but the rest of them just had the normal suspension. So if you saw one with it then you were probably mistaken.

87 and older civic/crx had a rear axle, not the 88-91's...if it had rr. disc it musta been a si crx...

I guess I didn't express myself right. What I was saying was that I think this guy had put on a rear disc conversion off a 1G integra. It was definitely an 88-91 crx, but with the solid axle. I had to look a few times when I saw it...

You can't put 1G Integra suspension on an EF, not possible. Maybe you saw an anti-sway bar or something.

Well, whatever it was, it was weird looking. It was a solid, round bar that looked just like the crossmember on the 1G tegs. In any case, it was weird looking. Next time I see him I'll flag him down and find out what it was.

It was probably a Lower Tie Bar........
