Quite an "out-there" request...

Why do you want to remove the ebrake handle... are you going to be like the kid that wants to put discs on the back of his car just so ppl think he's got them, all the while riding w/o rear brakes b/c he didn't wanna actually do the swap?

If you wanna pull the ebrake handle, there are only 2 or 3 bolts, a wire, and the cable holding it in... pretty straightforward... but please, don't do something stupid and mess up your brakes.

You can do a neat lil mod where you put an electric ram in place of the handle, that will still pull on the cable, and fit nicely under a console, and all you have to do is flip a switch... the only problem with that is that that thing will be constantly drawing a small amount of power while the ebrake is set. Unless you can find one that will set open and set closed. (Without constant power)

Well. I think he MAY just be talking about removing the handle portion of the lever, for instance to replace it with a carbon fiber piece..like my crx had. I howeve have no idea how the hell to get the grip portion off, Ive tried and it seems very firmly on there. Almost like you'd have to cut it off.

If I'm not mistaken there is a single screw somwhere on the bottom of the handle. If not, it's more than likly pressure fit on there. Start pulling and it should fly off.....

* I say "Fly" off because with the amount of pulling you'll need to do it will defitly fly off (hopfully not through your windshield..lol)

Have fun

ummm ... I never said ANYTHING about removing the rear brakes (or any other such nonsense), the title says ebrake HANDLE.

When I get the car back, I will look underneath the handle.

You should be able to pull the handle cover (the colored rubber part) off... the boot slides off... removing the entire lever/handle itself is two or three bolts, a wire, and the cable.
