2001 Cavalier Dash Cluster

I'm a bit new to changing stuff on my car, but was wondering how to change the LED's in a 2001 Cavalier?
I have the cluster sitting on my lap, but I can't seem to get it apart to get at the LED's. They look welded in, which may pose a problem. Also, can I use normal LED's? These LED's look like standard ones I've seen elsewhere.
I'm currently looking at the back computer chip board.
Can anyone give a step-by-step of this process?

I can get to where I have the computer "motherboard" on the back, and the needles on the front, but I have read not to pull those needles off to get inside. I have seen posts where the gauges don't work right afterwards. I have looked for clips, screws and anything else, but I can't get them apart. It seems as if the needles are attched to the motherboard , so the only possible way would to take the needles on the gauges off.
There are no bulbs at all, just about 6 LED's inside this boxed in compartment.

I am also looking to do the same with replacing the dash lights in my Cavalier. If anyone finds out how to do this, please let me know! (or at least make a post with detailed instructions) Thx!

If you've never removed needles before, don't do it. However.... might want to look into this.
