Been away from modeling for about two years...

It's hard to believe it's been two years since I've done any kind of modeling, and it's been even longer (2005) since i've actually completed one. Looking through these forums has kick-started my interest, unfortunately, there are no good hobby shops in the area, and anything from Revell I am interested in, I've most likely built plenty of in the past.

I've noticed the GT-R is a top subject here for many, so perhaps someone might know the answer to this. I'm looking to build an R33 GT-R, and I've found many options from Tamiya to Fujimi to Aoshima. I'd like to go with my gut and try to find the elusive Tamiya version, but does anyone know if the kit's wheels are male or female? I don't have all the right tools to do much work to convert, but I've come across a nice stash of Aoshima wheels and tires that I forgot I had.

Any help would be appreciated! Hopefully I can get back into this.

Welcome to AF!

Tamiya's wheels are nearly always 'male' style, with the polycap in the brake hub. This is the Calsonic racing version:

The street version is likely to be very similar.
