Think I am done with this. Not bad, took less than 3 weeks and that isn't working on it daily. First real time venturing into weathering.
There is a WIP thread under Street- just FYI.
Anyway, this model is the Daisy Duke Jeep, I got it at Big-Lots! for $5.00.

Decided to go for a daily driver that has seen some serious wear. Found a photo on the www that I used as a loose sample to follow. Obviously I weathered mine a lot more. I found weathering so fun, I just couldn't stop..lol

First time really doing any mods. I had to raise the ride height since I used the fenders which the DD jeep doesn't. It made the tires rub on them. Also Added the Antenna. Made from some of my wife's beading wire and a bead for the ball topper. The holder some plastic rod. Also made from Rod was the 2 back roll bar supports. I didn't like the curved ones included with the kit.
Over all, the kit went together pretty well. Only real fit issues were the rims on the tires, they were too wide had to do a lot of shaving. And the hood needed slight adjustments.
Some things I wish I did better. But it was a great learning exp. and I am overall happy with it for a $5 model.
First couple pics are before I added the antenna.
Thanks for looking and any comments.

Nice weathering for sure, I like the effect around the gas cap. This looks like it would a fun kit to build.

Fantastic job! Any key insights on the weathering - materials, technique, etc?

Finally got some blank decal sheets. Decided to finish off the antenna ball. Hahaa. Again, this is using some beading wire and a bead for the ball.
