Well, I'm looking for a new program to code my cds into Mp3s. What do you people use? and what can you recomend?

I've used Mediabox for awhile, but that seems to give far to bigger filesizes for quality.

I use one called Freerip MP3. Will find a link for you if you cant find one. It's freeware and an excellent program.

No worries mate. It also has a very small footprint for a media program. ~500kb if I recall correctly. :) Have fun ripping...

Yeah thanks for that, I got the program, the mp3s sound good quality, the file size per song seems ok.

Only problem is it doesn't seem to have a very comprahensive cd info database, but i don't mind typing the details in.

I have only had the CDDB database fall over on me with downloaded (Kazaa) CDs that I then delete and decide to re-rip (if that makes any sense) or a couple of compilations. Any burn-for-burn or legal CDs it has recognised with great accuracy.

The compression algorithm is extremely efficient. ONe of the best I have ever seen.
