I just bought a 2003 Explorer with 77,000 miles on it. After driving it only 100 miles, it developed a ticking or clicking sound from inside the rear quarter panel on the driver's side. It 'clicks' appx. once a second, regardless of speed; even with the motor off, but the key in the 'on' position. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like probably a relay clicking. In the previous generation of Explorer, the relays for the remote keyless entry were located in that area, along with a few other relays that escape me at the moment. Are you comfortable removing access doors in that panel and trying to determine which relay or part is causing the click? Have you recently noticed something not working with the Explorer?
