How long is to long?
Does it always turn off?
Right bulbs in it?
Does it have the keyless entery system?
Remote start or add on antitheft stuff?

You have not told us how long the delay is.
Doe it have a keyless entery system?

The Interior Lamp Control Module (timer) is located at the lower center of the Instrument panel. It will have 5 wires coming from it Pink, Orange, White & two Black ones. you can get a replacement to fix time problem or clip the white wire. If you clip the white wire the lights will go off as soon as the door is shut and not go on when you lift the outside door handle. The keyless entry could also cause the light to stay on. I worked on a Bravada that the lights would sometimes stay on and kill battery and sometimes not I just cliped the white wire.

That is about normal.
As long as it always goes off.
But you can always chop it out of there as perscribed by Olds Doctor.
