Hey friends, I hope every one is doing fine. I need to know if any one has had to replace a head gasket. I did a block leak test on my wifes 98 aurora, and the solution turned yellow, this is suppose to mean that I've got fuel gases mixing with my coolant which is creating over heating and an over pressurized system. I was wandering what kind of price range I would be looking a for a professional repair. Thanks

Sorry to hear about your problem. I have no idea on the price a shop would charge to do the whole job, I did mine myself. Unfortunately it is a very big job. The engine and transmission come out under the car on a subframe. From there it is not hard to remove the engine. BUT and this is a big BUT you almost always have to install headbolt inserts. There are several companys out there that make them. I presonally used fulltorques instead of threadserts. These are expensive to do.
There lots of previous posts on the subject and I would recommend you going through and reading them.
