ignition switch

Hi...me again. 98 Jimmy. If the engine cranks can I assume that the ignition switch is ok...not the lock assembly...but the switch...thanks...

I have seen them crank- but still have no power to the ignition in the "crank" position- there was power to the ignition circuit in the "run" position-- so in short check all possibilities.....
