Access to adjuster 2000 brake drums?

I finally got the drum to break loose from the hub and now the emergency brake cable is blocking my access to the star wheel to back the shoes off. Any tips on how to back the adjuster off to release the shoes so the drum can come off?

Frigging drum brakes.......
