i have a 2000 Grand am with the 2.4 motor, and I would like to add an Oil Pressure Gauge. Should I put in a mechanical or an Electric style gauge?? How is the best way to put in these gauges?? Thanks

Electric for sure. They are a bit more expensive, but there's no risk of the extra hose breaking and spraying oil all over your cars interior. You could probably just buy the 3-wire sensor (opposed to the 1-wire switch that's in there now) and connect the extra wires to the guage. You'll also need the connector for the 3-wire. Just remove the switch in the head and install the sensor. Make sure the resistance works for the guage you buy.

yeah definatly buy the oil pressure sensor for that particular gauge, or it might not work right.
