Okay, here we go again. 90 Regal GS 3.8 v-6 missing like crazy.
I replaced the fuel filter(24 months ago),plugs, wires, battery(dead).Replaced the cam shaft sensor a few months ago. That fixed the car dieing out.
What else can it be?
Will the COIL PACK throw a code if one of the coils are bad?
Last time I got a code it was (24) speed sensor, but that has been broke for years. The speedo never worked right.Even after replacing the speed sensor and the speedo.
This car is awesome when it runs.146,000 miles and no leaks and frequent oil changes and maintenance has kept it going strong.

A coil pack can cause your problem especially if you are getting multiple misfires. It may not throw a code especially given the limited diagnostic capabilities of the OBD I system. I would also replace the wires again unless they are new. Usually old wires cause coils to fail and that may be the cause of your problems.

A 1990 regal should have the Magnavox ICM/coil system. This is an integrated system where all coils are part of the ICM and has to be replaced as a unit. The DELCO system would have three (3) separate coils on top of the ICM, and each coil can be replaced individually. What system do you have?
