New Member w/New Stereo&New Problems

Hello everyone....I'm a new member to this board and I have a few questions. I bought a used 1997 Avalon in November 07 and I received a new stereo and went to have it installed by a friend of mine. All was going great until he went to hook up the new stereo and found there was no power coming from any of the wires. The stock stereo was working right up to the time he had disconnected it. We have checked every single fuse in the car and all are operational. Along with the wire harness for the stereo not having power, I have also lost my clock, my power locks, the ignition light (the little green light next to the ignition), my door chime, my trunk release in my glove compartment no longer works and none of my interior lights except for the instrument panel (speedometer area) work. Does anyone out htere have any ideas as what the problem could be? :banghead: We are completely baffled. I have gone to and called the dealership and they are clueless as well. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a theft alarm system and/or keyless entry? It will determine which schematic to look at.

Yes, I have keyless entry....and when I lock it using the keyless entry remote a "security" light comes on, but it doesnt have an alarm. Thank you!
