Well after working on this model on and off for about a year it is finally going to be completed. Really excited about this one as it was my first full frame build and a FULL conversion, not just a bumper or something small. Progress from teh beginning came be found here http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=601001 I have more pics of it that Im surprised were not posted in there so if you want more progress let me know. As a lot of you guys know I havn't been around here in quite a long time due to building my 1:1 working, and jumping between girlfriends and the problems that go along with them.... Long story short I am back on track and no more drama for me. The silverado was a build I really wanted to do since I built my first one and it started falling apart. So I decided if Im going to do this Im going to do it crazy, so I did. Not only did a build the full frame with atriangulated four link, I also built my own air tank, fuel cell, and a few other items to add to the build, not sure if there are any pics in my progress thread of those or not though.... If anyone has any questions let me know Ill be more then happy to answer them for you!!!

Old Silverado.... never got the pics or the attention it deserved lol

I am planning a MiniTruck S-10 pretty soon (similar to the smaller chevy in the other pic just the newer body style), and i was wonderin where you got that steering wheel?

also....are you suspension dropping (bagging) or just frame dropping this one?....or maby both??:p

should turn out awesome either way...

What do you mean here we go again??? The stripe was pinstripe tape I found in the hobby shop.

Update on this one, bad news unfortunately. Had to sand most of the paint down, started polishing it out and there were little specs of dust that arose so sanding everything down now, waiting for the putty to dry had to fix one part and should be respraying soon. There was a mold line on the whole passenger door that was NOT there, it was all smooth in primer and when I painted it it came out so strange but nothing I can do about it but fix it lol.

Heres the link to the progress thread for the s-10, not much has changed on it really, took second priority when I started the silverado. As far as the silverado goes though I got it resprayed but my air brush tip was clogged as I totally forgot to clean it last use, cleaned the needle but over looked the tip haha. Paint came out decent but it sputtered in a few areas so sanded them down and waiting to get some time away from the girly to respray.

Another update!! Good news on this build!! Resprayed the color and was lucky enough to be able to blend it so I didnt have to strip the whole car down and redo it all. Then a peice of debris in the air got caught while I was feathering in a section so it needed to be sanded AGAIN. After class I sanded the area softly to remove and level the problem area, reblended and feathered it in, good as new!!! Now it just needs some clear coat and I can finally try out my new detailing products!!!

Yea me and him cleared everything up, believe it or not I was being impersonated and my models were being sold by another person, then that person proceeded to take the money and run tarnishing my name.... all cleared up now thankfully.

Anyway update on the truck, got out of class early today which was nice allowed for some free time so I got the truck cleared finally!!! I will snap some pics and post them soon for you guys so you can see some updated progress!!!

Got the motor fully built, needed a little modification to clear the hood but nothing too noticable. I really like the color combination on the motor and I decided I am not running open headers and I am going to do a full exhaust, most likely keep the 2-2-1 set up and have it dump right in front of the rear wheel. Body is now all corrected and blended properly and is now curing for the next few days so I can polish it out. In the meantime I will be working on getting my frame detail done such as installing the airbags and running the lines. I may even mess around with installing the steering assembly, normally on custom build I leave the steering components out, but I think I am going to try to incorperate them somehow. Too bad I lost my instruction manual for this one, never thought I would need it to be honest

Heres some mock up pics of it in primer before I made the initial post, found them on my cell phone haha.

Blackwashed a lot of the parts tonight, first time ever doing this and I have to say I am very pleased with the look, toned down teh chrome quite a bit and got rid of tht toyish look to the build. Also did some more frame paint work and lined the windows. Discovered that the windsheild I had tucked away so safely is now damaged. There is a crack that looks like a scale rock chip. If only this could have happened to my focus windsheild haha. On another note I finally did a full mock up and I am really liking the way this truck is turning out!!!
