NEW YORK, New York
-- Lawyers who last month couldn't get a federal judge to bite on their claims that McDonald's food was responsible for making their clients fat went back to the counter for a second helping Thursday, filing a revised complaint accusing the fast food giant of making misleading nutritional claims.
It's seems McDonald's is now being sued for failing to list all the ingredients on there nutritional fact sheets it gives out to customers and posts in there restaurants.
I quote "While a McDonald's nutritional booklet claims the fish in a Filet-O-Fish is "100 percent cod with a pinch of salt to taste after cooking," the list of ingredients for the sandwich includes modified corn starch, dextrose, cellulose gum, citric acid and an anti-foaming agent called dimethylpolysiloxane, the complaint alleges."
The parents in the law suit are claiming that they thought McDonald's was Healthy for there children. "Bradley's father, Israel, said he never saw anything in the Bronx restaurants that informed him of the food's ingredients. "I always believed McDonald's was healthy for my children," he said in an affidavit."
They also give the amount of food they ate in a week.
" The girls, also listed as plaintiffs in the revised complaint, are Jazlyn Bradley and Ashley Pelman. Bradley, 19, is 5-feet-6 and weighs 270 pounds; Pelman, 14, is 4-feet-10 and 170 pounds.
Bradley said her regular diet included an Egg McMuffin for breakfast and a Big Mac meal for dinner. Pelman preferred Happy Meals and said she ate at McDonald's three or four times a week. "
My questions for you are ..
Do you think McDonald's should be fined ( not to go to the people suing necessarily) for misleading information in there nutritional fact sheets?
Yes I think they should be fined and be made to post what really is in there food.
Do you think an average person would believe that eating at McDonald's 3 to 4 times a week is healthy? Hell no, It seems very clear to me that the above people are looking to cash in on there own neglect as parents.
Do you believe that McDonald's should pay the above people for making them fat? Once again NO, I think there trying to cash in on something small. Just because the nutritional fact sheets were not posting in the restaurant the above people visited did that stop them from asking about the health content of the food?
What are your thoughts to the above questions? Agree or Disagree?

No, because they have fulfilled their legal obligation by posting the ingredients and health information in the building. If you have a concern, it is the consumer's job to read the information. "Let the buyer beware"
2. Well, some people could handle that, given a high metabolism. For me, I think that is just sick. I don't think it is healthy.
3. No, because McDonalds was not responsible for the lifestyles of these people. They can run or walk for exercise like everyone else, can't they? I don't see why McDonalds should even be brought into question.

Their parents should be locked up for neglect. They must never cook at home. Anybody who has kids and feeds them fast food several times a day has some serious problems.

these people must have more money than we know what to do with and no brains to back it up. i mean going to mcdonalds 2 times a day 4 times a week has gotta have a 50 dollar bill each week. and then you still have food u buy for groceries. i mean if u have that kinda money to stop at mcdonalds 2 times a day and eat you could atleast go to the store and getta bag of salad and dressing and put it in a bowl for like 5 bucks cheaper..
yup mcdonalds is healthy everyone!!!

That's what I want to know, where the hell did they get the money?!?
Besides, McDonalds already has nutrition info booklets in the restaurant, you can read about what crap you're eating while you eat it. And yes, it tells the truth, like 600 calories in a quarterlbder with cheese and about 550 of those are fat calories. It's junk, that's why I eat at Wendy's and Carl's Jr., better-tasting junk.

Do you think McDonald's should be fined ( not to go to the people suing necessarily) for misleading information in there nutritional fact sheets?
Hell no. Their nutritional information is posted or can be given to you upon request. Any reasonably intelligent person would know that a small sandwich that is 600 calories with 65 grams of fat and 76 grams of carbs has nasty stuff in it.
Do you think an average person would believe that eating at McDonald's 3 to 4 times a week is healthy?
I would hope not. Any food that can be prepared "mass production" style is almost always unhealthy. Think of all the preservatives loaded into their stuff to keep it fresh the time the "food" is made, to the time it sits before going on the truck, to the time it gets delievered to the individual store, and then to time when it is actually cooked. Chances are the stuff you eat there today is 7 days old or more. Also anyone should know that fried and greasy food is by no means healthy...think of the bloated/sick feeling you have next time you eat out...that there should be your hint.
Do you believe that McDonald's should pay the above people for making them fat?
Double hell no and a half! Did Ronald McDonald come to the house to pick up the kids and force-feed them BigMacs and Happy Meals? Did some men dressed in black Ninja suits kidnap them and hold them hostage in PlayLand while chucking McNuggets at them while Ronny sat up in the control room laughing his ass off like Dr. Evil?
Why should the company pay the people who CONSCIOUSLY chose to get to McDonalds and eat there? Ya know what? The energy being put into these lawsuits would better be spent...................AT THE FREEKIN' GYM!!!!!
This is the problem with society today: no one wants to be accountable for their own actions. We all look for someone/something else to blame for our downfalls.
McDonalds made me fat, even though I am the one who walked in or went thru the drive-thru and ordered 2 600 calories sandwichs.
Coke/Pepsi crystalized my kidneys, even though I drank 8 44oz. Thirstbusters a day instead of 8 glasses of water a day.
Everyone wants a fast fix or a miracle, instead of working toward their goals. Got extra weight? GO TO THE GYM. Got bills? QUIT SPENDING MORE AND PAY THEM OFF. Not enough sleep? GO TO BED EARLIER. Got other problems? WORK THEM OUT INSTEAD OF WHINING.
Ok I am done ranting now, I am officially awake hehe :D

Mc Donalds sux, they should be fined for the damage their trash does to the environment, up here in the Blue Mountains, Australia. Tourists from the city buy Mc Donalds then dump it alll on the side of the roads in a WORLD HERITAGE AREA! No one sees Pizza Hut, or Subway (both of which rule the fast food industry IMO), not even Burger king or KFC, trash lying around, it's all Mc Donalds.

You gotta lay the smackdown on the tourists for that one.

Exactly. These lawyers wouldn't even consider this lawsuit if it was against a smaller company, or if it wasn't a class action suit. There wouldn't be enough money in it to be worth their time, assuming that they would possibly win. And they just may, given today's attitude of "it's not my fault" that seems to be running rampant.
If anything, these retards should be suing their parents or grandparents for the stupidity gene they inherited. Dammit, now im pissed off. I-Tech, I'm gonna sue you for making me mad.
