K&N Air Filters and Titans

I recently purchased a 2004 Titan (4x4 Crew Cab) and replaced the air filter with a K&N replacement air filter. Does anyone have any experience with this air filter in the Titan. I hope to gain a slight improvement in both performance and gas mileage. Not to mention the fact that this should be the last air filter that I buy for the vehicle. Thanks.

did you ever get one - and did it help?

I just got my Armada (same engine) as yoru Titan and thinking about a K&N. I've put them in other trucks, I do think they help = but only a little bit but makes them sound better as well as you can just wash the filter.
