Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought the LT1 and 700R4 do not go together. :dunno:
Atleast not with some major fiddling of the PCM.

The 93 LT1's came with the 4L60, which was practically the 700R4. So some called it the 700R4.

ehh Roger that, I always think they went directly to the 4L60e with the LT1, in which there would be controlling issues, my bad.
Switching from auto to manual is a little bit of a chore, in any application, the 700R4/4L60 is a fair all around auto trans. No doubt if someone took the time to put a LT1 in the car, the trans was seen some upgrade as well?
what rear end are you running?

It will take some work. You'll need a new crossmember, a place to mount the master cylinder, clutch petal, and all the little things that come with a manual tranny. Good luck.

hmm, okay I believe those were 3.23's at best. Since you have a to rear swap already, I would put a 3.73 in ti, adds some "grunt feel" you know.
Poor pretty much covered all that needs to happen with the swap in a nutshell should you decide to carry forth with it. Me personally, although a manual is more fun to drive at times due to driver control, I would leave well enough alone and wrok on the auto. If it ahsn't been 'beefed', I'd throw in a shift improver and servo swap. The 700's can take some pretty hefty power.
No need to aplogize, didn't really catch anything there, I'm in that transistion phase from sometimers to alzheimers so sometimes my memory eludes me, especially in a swp situation such as this.

whats a servo swap?

Corvette, 1st to 2nd servo, applies a firmer shift off the line. The 'Imporver kit' mainly focuses in the lag when you punch it from cruise. You may have noticed, when the 700 "kicks down" theres a brief pause until pressure builds and then it snaps into lower gear (and your neck :( )

94's came with a 10 bolt from the factory. Unless the 94 you are referring to has an aftermarket rear swapped in, it is a 10 bolt. And Wright is correct, the best ratio offered with the autos were 3.23's. You could look up the RPO codes for that car (if the rear is stock) or take the cover off and count teeth.
