Engine light and infrequent stalling

I bought my car in May 2007 and it has served me well. However, I have noticed since around July/August, that it will sometimes stall on me. It has happened when I was either at the light, coming to a stop at a stop sign, or going down a hill. It doesn't just randomly stall in the middle of the road but I am scared that it will! It has only stalled about 10 times since May. My check engine light comes on almost every day and sometimes my car will just shake while I am going at high speeds (above 40mph).

Start by going to a local auto parts and get the codes read. Then come back with them and we can help you out. Without them its like throwing darts.

I have the same problem codes were crank sensor, cam sensor, pass code security, start the car ,no lights drive it for awhile and may get a security light or drive it and a engine light comes on and the engine will change its tune and want to die or stutter alittle and the sec. light or engine light will come on or both.then the car dies.stop car turn ignition key to off,restart car no lights or security light will stay on for a min.,about 15 miles and it starts all over.1995 park avenue 3.8 119,000 miles

Loose, or corroded battery cables are a common cause of this type problem! Could also be in your ignition switch.

why would the cable vcause this,just took it to the shop with the security light on and no codes.They said this year will not store codes.

try a differant key it could be worn to losing contaced with out codes it hard for use to help .My 92 had a issue with the crank sensor it did not store the code but threw simptom it figuered it out drive down the road and it like hicups and then its fine or a no start then come back later it starts up GM HAVE ISSUES WITH THERE SECURITY SYSTEMS ALSO

Lets start with this... What year is the car? Is it Supercharged?

Does being supercharged make a difference??
