92 GEO TRACKER STEERING PROBLEM please NEED HELP

the problem started yesterday. when i left from my yard, i felt that the steering was more stiff then usual. kept on riding around till i got to a stop sign and had to turn, it was like something was holding it back from turning. later on in the night it got alot more worse; now both sides are doing it and when i force it to turn i here a snapping noise coming from the front.:banghead:

i also have another problem that i think is related to this problem.

when i'm on 4x4 all of a sudden the wheel yanks to the right so much that i have to stop and unlock my locks for 4x4 and it stops.

could someone plese help me asap?

I just did the alignment in my tracker, tie rods were pretty bad so I replaced those as well as the shocks and ball joints. If your inner tie rod is seized pretty bad you'll have a lot of problem turning. Apparently it's pretty common on these

Might be, would be kind of starnge, depends what you were doing when this happened. Were you offroading? Does it only happen when your turning one direction? Has it been slowly getting worse or just all of a sudden? It would be really strange to be your steering box that sudden.:smooch:

i have a '91 and the steering pump went bad.just an idea.
