02 Taurus Dash Lights

Gas gauge light is burnt out. I have not dug into it yet. Can anyone tell me the procedure for getting to and replacing the fuel gauge light. I might replace all the dash lights also. Thank You.

Per the factory service manual:
Instrument Cluster
Removal and Installation
Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/S2H%7Eus%7Een%7Eleftside=S2HSE10L.htm&rightside=S2HSE10R.htm&market=us&lang=en%7Egen%7E2col.htm%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20).
Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/S2H%7Eus%7Een%7Eleftside=S2HS1C0L.htm&rightside=S2HS1C0R.htm&market=us&lang=en%7Egen%7E2col.htm%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20).
Remove the shifter selector cable, if equipped with column shift. For additional information, refer to Section 211-04 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/S2H%7Eus%7Een%7Eleftside=S2HSB40L.htm&rightside=S2HSB40R.htm&market=us&lang=en%7Egen%7E2col.htm%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20).
Remove the instrument cluster screws.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the instrument cluster.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.Section 501-12

Removal and Installation
Adjust the steering column to the full tilt-down position.
Remove the instrument panel center finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Panel Center Finish Panel (http://www.automotiveforums.com/tpsreposit/useni4/S2H1C005.htm)in this section.
Remove the headlamp switch. For additional information, refer to Section 417-01 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/S2H%7Eus%7Een%7Eleftside=S2HSH10L.htm&rightside=S2HSH10R.htm&market=us&lang=en%7Egen%7E2col.htm%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20).
NOTE: If equipped with a steering column selector lever, position the lever in the 1 position.
Remove the instrument cluster finish panel.
Remove the screws.
Remove the instrument cluster finish panel.
If equipped, disconnect the traction control switch electrical connector. Section 211-04

2002 SES..I have a center console and I had to remove the radio to allow clearance for removal of the vent panel.
