Seeing your mustang brings back bad memorys. I helped my buddy SC his 2001 SVT Mustang.... I shiver thinking about all the crap that happened to that car....

Great videos. I'm thinking about Seafoam myself.... Just to see what happens.

Well lets see...

It all started when the kit came in the mail. It was all nice and shiny and we were excited to put it on. I looked at the instructions and saw things like "bolt supercharger on" without anything else said, but there was a picture of where it was suposed to go.

Took us 2 hours just to figure out where it should "bolt on" and what parts to use to do it.

Then there was the fuel pump fiasco.

After it was installed it never ran right because he put HUGE injectors on it that would blow the spark out when his powerban kicked in. One time when it was on the dyno the spark didn't get blown out. The outter edge of all his pistons crumbled.
Engine rebild. Bored out, forged pistons and rods, port and polish...

Then the cam shaft went, Engine rebild.

And I cant remember what happened the last time but he had to rebild it again. But he got stuck in Utah and had to buy a new car to get home in. His dad flew out and they rented a Uhal to tow it home. He bought a 2007 Mustang GT, which can now be found in the Official will this buff out thread.

Finally he cut his losses and sold it.

That my friend = Crap.

Man, you got a lot more smoke than I did. I was disappointed when I used Sea Foam.

How long did u let it sit and how much did you use? I know for my friends SC300 and Accord it was almost instantaneous while mine took a while, and my friends s/c'ed RSX had to be driven to get it out.

On one of the valves the head came off allowing the valve to come out of the guide and it just fell into the cylinder while he was attempting to keep up with the GTC. The piston came up and you can imagine what happened inside the cylinder. This also caused it to jump timing and the chain busted through the left valve cover. As a result he bought the blue Mustang at the top of the thread and he's trying to get rid of that.

He should have stuck with his Stealth IMO.

Lol, I'd love to but I cant. It was sent to me in snail mail, not email, and it belongs to the dealership that sold the engine, so I need to get his ok from it first. I've already asked twice, and he wont give me the go ahead. But you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.

Um... That looks fun! I blame the guy who did the work for poor Eric. The last 2 rebuilds were technically his fault. Anyways, Yes polly his stealth was one to be remembered. Stupid move to stell it.

im afraid of doing seafoam at 123k. hve no idea what would happen to my engine. i remember switching from dyno to sythetic blend, and it was a little chunky. just tad. then from blend to synthetic, a little more. but those were with those engine flushes things.
