Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32)

Hi to all:

Here are some photos of the model I'm currently working on. It's a R32 GT-R, inspired by the one portrayed on Shuichi Shigeno's Initial D manga.

It's basically built sootb (I only modifyed the front bumper, made a new exhaust, I'm still slightly detailing the engine bay and used some very delicate PE screen wipers from Crazy Modeller).

I still need to finish the engine bay, had the front license plate and the screen wipers.

Looks awesome! No better colour on the R32 GT-R than gun gray :D

Can I have it? That explains how nice it looks. How long did it take to build it. Welcome to AF.

Hey, I saw this build on spc as well :)
I realy love the interior washes, makes it look used for a change.
And it's also nice to see a stock R32 as well, most of them are all made into drifters these days...

Anyways, can't wait to see whats next!

I've started this model during the last week of 2007! Unfortunately I'm not able to work on it every day, so making a wild guess, I think it has taken me around 50 hours! As I've said this one is almost SOOTB!

Damn! Great work! What color/paint is the body?, it looks fabulous.

The color is Tamiya lacquer TS-40 Metallic Black, aplied with an airbrush (2 light coats and one wet coat) and covered with 4 coats of duplicolor Rally-lack clear (also aplied with an airbrush)! The body was then lightly sanded (with micromesh 4000) and polished (firstly with bare-metal plastic polish and them with tamiya finish polish). This combination works really well for me (it removes all the orange peel that I used to had on my models).
