Reinitialization of the Power Sliding Door
Important: Before performing the PSD re-initialization procedure, inspect for DTCs by performing the Diagnostic Mode 1. Refer to Diagnostic Modes.
Perform the PSD re-initialization procedure when any of the following conditions exist:
• The PSD is inoperative.
• The vehicle battery is reconnected after being disconnected.
• The vehicle battery is recharged due to a low or discharged battery condition.
• The RADIO fuse (located in the underhood accessory wiring junction block) is reinstalled or replaced.
• You exit any of the Diagnostic Modes. Refer to Diagnostic Information and Procedures for more information.
Use the following procedure in order to re-initialize the PSD:
Enable the overhead console PSD lockout switch (pressed position).
Manually open the sliding door completely.
Manually close and fully latch the sliding door.
Remove the RADIO fuse for 30 seconds.
Reinstall the RADIO fuse.
Wait 10 seconds.
Disable the PSD lockout switch (released position).
Press and release the PSD open/close switch (overhead console or B-pillar). Allow the PSD to open completely.
Press and release the PSD open/close switch.
Repeat Step 8 and Step 9. Inspect for proper PSD operation.
