I am putting the TSI up for sale. It has sat for way too long and I want nothing to do with it anymore.

The car has 119k miles on the body. The engine is from a 90 GST and has apprx 90k miles. The 90 had an external oil cooler similar to the ones on the 3s which I do have one for it, but its not on the car. You just need the banjo bolts and to put it in place.

The trans has about 80k on it and shifts about how youd expect a DSM trans to shift. Its got a slight notchyness going into 3rd. Nothing horrible though.

Interior is in excellant shape. It has the tan leather interior. Very minimal wear on teh drivers bolster. The rest is mint.

Now for the fun stuff.

Mods

- Ported/clipped small 16g.
- Apexi downpipe
- Apexi catback
- 550cc injectors
- SAFC
- Dejon hard pipes
- Supra sidemount IC
- Aeromotive FPR
- 2G MAS
- AEM UEGO wideband setup
- Autometer EGT setup
- Faze boost gauge (I know, not the best but I needed something to get me by after I sprung the Autometer.)
- ACT 2600 clutch
- LW Flywheel (most likely Fidanza)
- LW crank pulley
- Drilled and slotted rotors

I may have forgot something but that should be it for the mods.

Now the reason the car has sat. Last March the car was giving me issues, my AFR was all over the place so I decided to try adjusting the timing again (via the CAS) Something went wrong somehow and I jumped back in the car to see the SAFC showing 13% throttle at idle. (SAFC shows 0% at idle) I gave the car a quick rev to see the SAFC show 100% idle and backfire horribly.

I thought maybe I messed up the TPS so I swapped it out. No change. I parked the car, got a ride to work and fixed the Stealth. I would mess with the car occasionally and got no where.

After speaking with a few people it was thought the ECU was the issue. I didnt have the extra $150 to send it to AV Pro so it sat longer. A few weeks ago I had a kid come look at the car and I told him $3000 if I got the ECU repaired and it fixed it. He gave me $150 down to send the ECU out.

Unfortunately the ECU did not cure the problem. There is spark, there is fuel, there is compression, and the timing is on.

So there you go. Maybe someone knows exactly what the issue is and can fix it for next to nothing. At this point I don't care. I need the money more than I want to keep the car.

Dont give me shit about the asking price. The mods alone are worth that. If I don't get $2000 I will part it out. And from the pics you will see why I do NOT want to part it out. You dont see too many clean DSM's anymore.

I am also open to the possibility of some trades.

Also if someone maybe has a drivetrain waiting for a nice DSM I would be willing to pull the engine/trans/etc and mods and sell the rolling chassis at this point.

Car is located in southwestern PA. I am about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh and about 10 miles north of Morgantown, WV. I will post the VIN as soon as I find the title in my room here. Or I will go to the car and get it from there.

Any more questions please feel free to ask.

VIN is 4E3CG64F0PE001584

Unfortunately the car sold awhile ago. I miss it like crazy though. :(

Good luck in your search. Keep your head low and stay safe.

I dont know.. If the guy wants that bad and was willing to give 3k for it now. He would have plenty of time for the money to go through before the guy came to pick up the car.

nah it doesn't work like that

My father has done legal work for these types of cases pretty ingenious. What they do is either steal or alter a real cheque from a company. The cheque is legit and will clear at the bank when you cash it. But when the books comeback to the owner of the cheque they say that this cheque was fraudulent the bank traces back to who cashed it and bingo bango bongo guess who's on the hook for the money. This normally takes about a month to find its way back to you by that time the assailants are long gone. Some guy tried to do it to my very close buddy with rsx-s. He gave the cheque to the cops (even though it was legit) and they tried to set up a sting for the guy but he never showed.

There are much worse ones (involving your house) which I don't even want to spread on the internet.

I am a smart cat and can sniff out a scammer.

I would never take a check for a car. Cash in hand.
