Driver Info Center Display

I am now on my second display. They both fade away after a period of time. If I bang on it sometimes it will display info for awhile then will go away again after for a period of time. I did purchase the second one used from a savage yard. I am wondering if it's something other than the display unit or do these displays have issues. Has anyone else had their display go out?

could be dirty connector on the board.mine has had a black spot in the display for a year.i guess i'll eventually find one in a junkyard that the guy doesn't want an arm and two legs for.

I have the same issue. It worked for a while when you'd bang it, now doesn't work at all. I think it's the LED display itself, as I've tested my board and it has power.

if the lcd screen is shorted out it will have black spots in it .could be the one you got from the salvage yard was bad too.i priced just the lcd screen from dealer and i don't think i'll be getting one there.
