I have a 2000 grand am with the 2.4 engine in it. Ive been thinking about putting a factory GM supercharger on it. Im not sure if this motor would be able to handle the extra power, Do you think it would make a big difference and where could I find a good used one??? Thanks

My car has about 100,000 miles on it and it runs very good.

thats good, first things first when adding something like a supercharger, even though it may be best to consult a dealership mostly on the new power addon...
even with 100k miles you'd always need to take extra precaution with the engine/transmission as both will be under much more stress
Id suggest to make sure that you're up to date with all of your car care, fluids and such, and to also switch the transmission to a synthetic base lube as well as switch the engine to synthetic as well... once you go synthetic it's not recommended to switch back...
adding synthetic to both will greatly ensure you less wear and tear on the internals so that everything can last a bit longer with the supercharger addon
thats just my .02 cents on the topic, theres much more with greater detail. I feel that a dealership would be more than able to address the issue on what would be needed to handle the boost
dont hesitate though, im sure others here will chime in soon on this topic as well :D
Good Luck!
