I would appreciate any information-thx.
I have a 95' Eclipse with a 2.3 stroker motor and a GM MAF setup... Why is it everytime i start the car, I HAVE to hold the throttle down for like 2 min. before it can idle without manually giving it gas with the throttle? Isnt there a way to fix that? SHould i ditch the GM MAF and do something else? Something must be telling the ECU some incorrect Info?

Have you tried to play with the idol at all?

yeah. the idle screw is in all the way.... and the idle on the ecu is set at like 1900rpms.... i had it more to see what would happen... and nothing unless i need to screw with the maf setings?

do you have the GM MAFT dialed in correctly? what tuning program are you running? i know the GM MAFT is a BEAR to dial in correctly, and its sencitive to every aspect, IIRC this includes hightened displacement...

I'm using DSMLink. yesterday i placed the rpm idle to 1200, but it kind of jumps around with the cams in it. i adjusted the variable timing a little on the high end, advancing it to make it a little richer and also adjusted the fuel settings a little. it seemed to do a little better as far as how it idles. as far as the MAF settings go.... i think i got everything pretty good.. but i could be wrong... also. what is everyone else using for synthetic oil weight for their 2.3 strokers?

I always use 10w-40 and plan to in my stroker soon.
As far as the MAFT with DSMLink, I understood that you zero out the MAFT and make all changes within DSMLink.

I run a blow-through GM MAF and have the same cold-start issue. I'm running a compensated EEPROM chip, but no settings change has ironed it out thus far.
