the cut out is at 107mph but the actual speedometer speed will vary with tire and wheel size, any changes there or did you just burn off some rubber since then?

do you have a Heads Up Display? How does that read when the car cuts off? Maybe your analong speedo is just a little in accurate.
And by cut off, you mean the car dies? or does it just lose power untill you slow down?
Another question, when you look down at your speed, is it right when you start to lose power? I only ask because, (not sure if this is the case) but some vehicles will cut off at say 110, but then they wont cut back on untill the vehicle slows to say 105.
If your so worried about it, then just have your PCM flashed by ZZPerformance. they will raise the governer speed.

Lets clarify some disinformation guys. The OP has a GTP. The speed limiter on a GTP is programmed to cut off at around 128 mph which is consistent with the "H" speed rating of the original GoodYear Eagle GT tires. If you have the Heads Up Display (HUD) it will display the speed accurately above the limits of the analog gauge at the IP. Many GTP owners including myself have pushed the envelope well into the 120 mph plus range. As mentioned a basic Stage 1 reprogrammed PCM module from either DHP, ZZP or Intense will remove the speed limiter and then speeds above 128 mph is not uncommon even with a stock GTP. Of course, modded go much faster. Also, the final drive gearing on a GTP is 2.93:1.
