i own a 2002 ford mustang v6 3.8l
on my way home, about to turn into my drive way, i pushed the clutch in, and heard something snap. The clutch stayed to the floor, giving me time enough to somewhat force the car into Natural. Once done, i cruised into the driveway.
i can start the car, but can not put the car into gear. the clutch still is resistance, it doesn't just fall to the floor every time you touch it. but engaging the clutch doesn't do anything.
now i was hoping it was just the cable that snapped, but i checked, and the cable is fine. the lever that it pulls moves fine also.
so maybe a linkage problem? i don't know. any help\ideas?

so if you put it in first gear, it does nothing, or you can't put it in first gear?
Trying to figure out if you have a clutch actuation issue or an internal shift fork issue. If the tranny works fine, you can't disengage the clutch, then you would want to check the pedal assembly, slave and master. Could be a pressure plate issue also
