Can it be good replacement for TS-17? Particles are smaller than last time and color is little lighter than TS-17. Photos are made by flash so it isn't realistic look and outside wasn't good light. Color isn't full gloss yet, and it's automotive color.
Ts-17 have small paricles too.
I sprayed both colors on same plastic and ts is little darker.
But I'm not sure that TS-17 is good for all silver cars, Tamiya give it for all silver cars. Isn't that strange?
I want to find good replacement for silver color on WRC Pugs.

It's very difficult to say exactly if it's good or not through pictures. But on the outside pic, it looks good, since it has a bit of blue pigments in it, apparently. For all my silver cars, I've never used Tamiya colours. I always use Testors Aluminium (enamel) and finish that off with clear coat. Like this C-9

For an amazing chrome/ silver finish, try Alclad II. Their chrome is very good, but for the silver you may want to try Highly Polished Aluminium...

It looks good to me. The thing is that an exact match is very difficult to obtain in scaling. So the thinner the particals, the better I think. Never tried the alclad alu, so I don't know about that. For me consistency is the key. Meaning that for a certain time-frame (let's say the '80s till mid '90's) I use the same colour of Silver for my Benz's.
But I reckon it's OK for the Pug's.
ps. Make sure you remove those molding lines on that CLK, will you ;)

Thanx Guido!
Sure, I will remove it. That is just testing part for color. Everything will be fixed for real thing.:)
