Check engine light isn't cool, Have you done a compresions check? When i blew my exhaust valve up the car was running on three cylinders, and sounded like a WRX. Are u using premium gas? Any smoke? Is your fuel pump working correctly? sound like it could be a fuel issue or compression. How many miles?

Thanks for the reply. I always used premium gas , I also had a compression test and was almost perfect . I've owned for ten years and never had any engine problems till today.

cap/rotor? distributor? also check fuel pressure. what was your compression at? iirc it should be 200 or so? someone else chime in i dont remember the exact number, but the highest cylinder should be no more than 15 psi or so above the lowest.

I brought it to a garage so they took the engine apart and found a piece of CARBON blocking the head so it would get flooded with gas. Has anyone ever heard of this happening or is this really bad luck!!!

im not sure exactly what you mean by that. carbon blocking the head? i guess it sounds like abuse mixed with bad luck, the usual cause of most car problems.

I had an exaust valve "explode", How much did that run u? (If u dont mind) Did you bring the car to the dealer? I'm glad it wasn't something catastrophic! I would give anything to drive my lude again!
