same chevelle different day - this question is for a paint/body guy. Have u ever used the sprayable body filler such as evercoat slick sand. What is the minimum grit sandpaper scratches that standard primer will cover. I have been removing factory finish from this chevelle down to bare metal because surface rust had penetrated same down to metal. This car is listed on Kijiji but i still have to finish driver side qtr and door. Once done though the car cannot be exposed to moisture. Any advice:eek:

It's not really sprayable body "filler" and does not substitute for Bondo type filler. It is a high-build primer only.

Bondo can fill up to 1/8 of an inch, although some folks use it much thicker.

High build primer is not intended to go on that thick. It is simply intended to fill slight metal surface roughness (ie, leftover from from sandblasting. rust removal etc. ) But it is not intended to reshape a panel the way Bondo does.

For that primer purpose, its great, and a real time saver. One coat and you can sand it down.
You need at least 180 grit to sand it. Dont go too coarse or else you will simply sand off the high-build primer, instead of making it smooth.
