Pen concept '08

Here is a sketch I drew up last night. Started from the front lights and went from there. I didn't think the front suited the back but I carried on and did some quick shading on it anyway, and I still am not quite happy with it. Doesn't look like the front would actually work either. Anywho, here it is.

but i think you should move the front wheels closer to the nose
it will look nicer
This is why the front isent working
you need to make it shorter or make the wheels come closer to the nose
i love concept cars and ideas.

Hey thanks, yeah i agree with you there, always have trouble with the front when drawing from my mind

Your sides look amazing.. so does your roof line and the back
but the front...the right side is WAY steeper than the left if you look closely and there is the fact that its too long to suit that body format...

Umm just like to point out it is a quick pen sketch, without having an eraser i had to make do with some lines, hmmm i may trace the rear and put a new front on, i have a mental picture of an alfa romeo front, i suppose i'll see how it turns out. Thanks for commenting :)

UPDATE:
Have redone it although it is not a pen sketch now. I quite like this, I am considering taking my time and shading it in pencil, when i find the time that is. I haven't come up with a name yet or a make that it could belong to :naughty: but i will eventually. No reference pictures were used, just the imagination of an eighteen year old. I think i will consider re-doing the front guards making them less 'out there' 'cos i think they are too wide. Comments and criticisms are most definately welcome - here she is.

but the old one had more concept car like charecteristics.

I'm not sure how long, maybe around an hour and a half, although i was watching tv so it took me longer than it could have. I think it may be the right hand side seat that is too big. Although it is not as concepty i guess it is more believable. I didn't change the entire car, only the front, but i guess it has that effect of changing the whole look. Thanks for the comment

You made the front of the car look like a modified car, which cant be a concept as your thread title describes.

The back and the side is very impressive
not sure about the headlight and front bumper designs though...

Do you think it's the front-mount that makes it look like a modified car? Just remember the gtr concept, it looked slightly modified, but yeah i see what you mean, I love the bonnet though, also, if you look just at the front part including the lights, i believe it looks more like a modified rx7 wouldn't you agree?
