Model Confusion. '91 ninja 600r

A few months back I bought a 1991 Ninja 600r. I just courious if this is pretty much the same bike as a GPX600r. or is the GPX just more race orianted. Both look very similar. I've been trying to find a good source for late 80's early 90's Kawasaki bike info, but haven't found anything good yet. I've found the 110page thread on these bikes on Kawasakimotorcyle.org forum, but that's just the problem...it's a 110 page thread which pretty much makes finding the good information in it more trouble that it's worth. Sorry for the story.

I tried to find an answer for you, but like you said it's not easy...what I did find seems to suggest they are the same model, maybe GPX was the Euro version of the Ninja? It's called GPX 6000R Ninja in all the references to it on foriegn motorcycle sites...

That's probably right, it's the Euro version. I should have my bike back in about a week from a guy who was tunning it up and what not.

its the same bike. down here our "ninja's" models are only the ZX range. all others are GPX's.
