i have a 1987 b2000 , that is very hard starting when cold and when it does start it runs real rough at low idle but you run it up and it runs great , as soon as you let off the gas it falls flat on its face , then restarting when you floor the gas it doesnt want to start but if you just crank it without gas it will start , i have put a new fuel filter on it and all new tune up parts , once the truck warms up it runs fine , will idle and has good power it is a 5 spd truck runs great when warm but when cold i just wanna shoot it lol , please can someone help :banghead: :banghead:

put a screw driver in your carb to hold the "butterflies "open then try to start it if that works your choke is screwing up

i did the screwdriver trick and it didnt even want to start my friend is telling me to just pull the carb off and clean it he thinks its just dirty due to the truck sitting for a few years prior to me owning it
