Front wheel bearings

Need some advice. I am planning on changing my front wheel bearings on my 99 zx2.

First, do I need any special tools?

Second, do I need to press them in? The parts store said, yes. Can I get away with heating the hub and taping the bearings in?

Thx

You need to remove the steering knuckle/hub assembly to a machine shop/garage to have the old bearing press off and the new one pressed on. Don't forget to have the new seal with you when you go.

Heating up the parts takes the tensile out of the metal and promotes metal fatique/failure.
