Tyre warmers

I'm thiking about making tyre warmers. And I would like to ask that do you think it would be a good product, is there any demand for it (of course on a reasonable price)
Anyway i will make for myself some , but if it could be sold on the market i need to consider mass production aspect during development. First i will make for 1/12 motogp bikes, than maybe for F1.

It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how useful they would be. It seems they'd be best for dioramas, but honestly it seems so few dios are built that there wouldn't really be much market. Tyre blankets are also relatively easy to scratchbuild.

Maybe a more useful idea would be instead of blankets to put over kit tyres and wheels, make sets of resin wheels already wrapped in blankets. You can stack four next to a finished F1 car and call it a mini-dio, like the car is about to go out for testing.

But since kit tyres and wheels are usually so interesting to see (and are often very well done on kits), covering them up on the model (unless you really are doing a starting grid dio) seems a bit silly.

I'd be interested in some ready made, detailed tire warmers :)

That is why i was thinking on motorbike first. Anyway it is standing on a stand, and i think a type warmer could customize a bit the bike. I think it is not necessary to build a dio in case of bikes.

Yeah, it could work better for bikes than for F1 cars.

On the other hand, resin wheels/tyres wrapped in blankets (especially with Tamiya type wheel mounting) could work for F1. You wouldn't have to dedicate a set of kit wheels and tyres to be covered. So you could put the car in your display case on a set of resin wheels, and later when you got tyred of the tyre warmer look you can swap back on the uncovered kit wheels.

Really, we know you can make resin wheels. ;)

Sounds like a good idea to me. So far the only ones for 1:20 F1 that i'm aware of are by Meri and they are difficult to find and in white metal.... the ones i saw pictures of didn't look promising.
Personally i'd rather have ones to put on the Tamiya tyres ( even though i'm not sure how to make that...). The disadvantage of tyre warmers cast together with wheels would be the painting. That depends a bit on the type/year you do though. For the current ones that have the sides fully covered i agree a massive resin part would do the job just fine.
I'd say it's up to your skills to make them look realistic and "fabric..ish".
For 1:12 i would actually prefer something with real fabric...although there are some problems to overcome in the manufacturing of that.

Maybe consider making the tyre warmers for RC car models.
I know they have some championships in racing those little demons.
You could start a new trend. Maybe warmed tyres would give RC cars more grip and than....
Ah they must work in that case as well :P

Anyway for normal models I see them in dioramas and on bike models, like other guys said. (I would purchase some for F1 for my future project).
