Anybody interested in this years Gumball 3000 Rally? I found out that it's gonna cost you £60.000 if you want to enter with a car and co-driver. Too much for me...anyway, it's going to be a hell of a tour:
Start: San Francisco
-Los Angels
-San Diego
-Las Vegas
-Pyongyang (North Korea)
-Shanghai
-Xuzhou
End: Beijing at the Olympics
Can you imagine, driving in the middle of China with your own car! I'm so jealous!!

Roughly $120k to drive my own car? Yeah, right. The gumball is a farse of what the cannonball used to be. Its no longer an actual timed competition, its a social event. Also...Pyongyang? Can we say international fucking incident? Great idea. Lets get a bunch of people with more money than brains, and drop them in the center of North Korea.
As for long distance rallys, I will be participating in one later this year. That doesn't have an entry fee. And won't require me to alert the state department.

could you imagine someone trying to drive a bimmer through communist nations?? There wouldn't be anything left of it 5 miles into the country and those rich bastards would be walking in their shorts.
