I have a 89 xj that i swapped a motor into. the last ones fuel rail caught fire. we swapped the motor from another xj where the motor ran but we wanted the 4 door. got everything in the truck and turned it over. it started and ran. Sweet!! right!!!??? Wrong. we turned it off to add water and power steering fluid. Now it wont run anymore. it will turn over for days but never actully start. Any ideas?

Check to see if you are getting spark from the spark plug wire coming from the coil. If not then you need to check the following:
1. You can remove the coil and ignition module and take it to auto zone or advance to have it tested. This is usually done for free.
2. Check the stator in the distributor. It is also known as the pickup coil or camshaft position sensor.
All of these along with the Crank Sensor could cause a no spark condition.
I would also check for proper fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
