to make a short story even shorter i decided i wanted to change my pcv valve out so i buy one install it and manage to crack the plenum because i screwed it in too much. its a hair line crack spanning about an inch down the area the valve is threadded i know the car runs fine but what should i do for a quick fix i hear jb weld would be good so far i have gorilla glue as a temporary. any suggestions i have 163,000 miles on the car so im not spending more then i have to. and i know im kicking myself in the ass for not stopping when the wrench was getting hard to turn.

I have a feeling it'll be just fine as it is. If you're going to address it, I'd say just replace the plenum outright instead of trying to band-aid it.

i agree it might be fine for a while but im afraid the crack will spread with the metal getting hot and cold. so far the gorilla glue is holding pretty good i might keep it on there and see how it holds but at worst does anyone know how much the part cost to get replaced

List price on the part alone is $237. Probably 2 hours of labor for the job.

Find a used parts network in your area. We have a real good network of junk dealers in Colorado. I know I could get that plenum tomorrow if I needed it. Or call these guys in Nebraska. I think they are still in business. NISSAN PLACE 1-818-768-7605. They'll ship to you I bet. You get my drift. Start looking for used yourself. Then get the gasket and do it yourself. It's not hard. If you take it all apart you can put it back together. Just quit stripping the bolts and/or over torquing things.
