94 town car power seat help?(Relays)

Hi guys maybe you can help me my drivers seat tilts fine but the forward and back is dead im going to start trouble shooting but i need to know if and where the seat relays are located any help would be appreciated thanks Richie

I would suspect that switch in the armrest panel. Try testing your seat motors by puting 12 volts to them. If you trace the problem back to the switch, they can be taken apart and cleaned. I've done that on a few, it's a bit tricky, you got to be good. I have plenty of those switches, let me know if you need one. [email protected].

Im sure ill diagnose the problem but i need to know if there are seat relays and where are they located i suspect the switch also but once i start i want to go threw the whole system thats why i need to know about the relays thanks . Richie

You can hear 'relays' clicking under the seats. Unfortunately, their built into a "Controller" that aids in power distribution.
Due to the many functions of the seats, 30 AMPS (max) is delivered directly to the assembly through a controller. The main breaker is in the power distribution box under the hood, breaker #H (last one)

There you have it, built in relays. I didn't know of relays any where else for the seats. Some good stuff to check out. Testing those motors will piont in the direction of the problem quick, I doubt it's a wiring problem. It's usually the motors or the switch. :2cents:
