On my 98 Malibu the small pulley above the crankshaft and ac pump snapped right off. Its a plastic pulley without any grooves. I am not sure what the name of the pulley is or even what store might carry them. If someone could help I would appreciate it.

One of the idlers, just tell the parts store where it is located.

Or could be the power steering pulley. I've replaced two of them on my '99 they both broke at the hub. If it is the power steering pulley, you can get them at autozone for $16 but it may be the shaft bearing in the ps pump is bad and is causing the cheap pulley to break.

Good luck.
