Hi every one,

I am new to the forum. With that being said I am getting ready to do my first engine swap  I got a 1994 Honda Civic DX with D15B7 and I am shooting to put the D16Z6 1.6 SOHC Vtec into it.. I am not going to ask HOW to do the swap because there is a search button and I am sure the swap has been done countless times. What I am going to ask sense its my first swap if any people out there have any advice/tips to make my swap go smooth for me.

I have proper tools and pretty mechanically inclined in fact I build Honda off road vehicle engines as a hobbie. But I am also making note this is much diffrent.

My worst fear is messing some thing up. So I am doing my research and going to approach this swap with the idea to take my time and do the job right the first time so I dont have redo it.

I got a D16Z6 with 95,000 Miles on it. The first things I did was replace head gasket just because like I stated above not going to do the job again. I am also going to replace rear main seal before installing it.

Thanks guys

i'll be sure to post pics as I do the swap.

Alex
