Lx gauge cluster

Does the Lx Sedan gauge cluster have a built in tach? and if so, will it work with my 90 DX hatch.

the lx cluster has a tach and will work in your dx. just make sure the cluster is out of a 90-91 since you have a90 so you dont have to rewire anything.

How much re-wiring needs to be done for a 89 cluster to work in my 90 hatch??

i'm not sure....from what i've heard its annoying, easier jsut to find the right year cluster...

I got a quick question bout clusters too, I wanna switch my CX cluster for an Si Hatch cluster cuz i want a tach. now heres the question, how would I hook up the Tach since my car never had one and would I need to hook up any fuses? or would it already be connected to a fuse? if so which one cuz the one for my clock, lighter and interior light keeps blowing and if it hooks to that one then i need 2 know first so i can sort that problem. any help would be great

Your wiring harness is already set up for a tach, no need to add anything in. You can get a cluster out of a 88-89 si or LX 4 door. crx si cluster might work too..

where does it hook up to? like is there already a plug there?

you take out the whole guage cluster, and put in the one with the tach, just unplug old one and plug in the new one, everything in the same spot... real easy to do.

sweet! thanx alot for the help, so then my speedo cable and all that will work with this then too. :) i just hope it works with this cluster cuz its not working with mine right now cuz i replaced the cable cuz it was broken and I saw a hatchback sittin there at the j/y and just took it outta that lol. but i think my original cluster is messed, also how would I set the mileage to match whats on my car? jusu take off the clear plastic and move the numbers with a pin or something?

Yes, you can use a pin, just be sure not to break the cluster cover , heat it up a lil, but very slightly, and then take a flat head and pry it off because i learned this the hard way on my DX when i got the Si cluster....

I have a 90 Si gauge cluster for sale cause i'm parting out my car, it has 83000 miles on the gauge cluster, and i'll sell it for 45 plus shipping..... Also, if you want i'll adjust the mileage to whatever you want because i am experienced in doing this. Just PM me or eMail me or respond on this thread if you are interested. Thanks!
