bonnie codes

My wifes 97 bonnie's check engine light came on again a couple weeks ago.. its been about 4 months since we have had any troubles with it stalling or even having the check engine light on.. I had it scanned today and these were the codes p0107 and p0446 (yes the gas cap is on tight). mind you that the intake, TPS and MAF have all been replaced and the car has been running fine ever since.. I have noticed a sligtly rough idle and sometimes when starting the car it hesitates. Is there any easy way of finding vac leaks?

Your two DTC’s are:

DTC P0107
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

DTC P0446
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent System Performance

You could have a bad MAP sensor. Check the PCM reference voltage first. It should have 5.0v. The EVAP vent problem could be a vacuum leak. I use a propane torch (unlit) to test for vacuum leaks. Start the engine & open the bottle valve and point near any vacuum connection. If you here the engine rpm increase, you found a leak! :grinyes:

How do i go about checking the PCM refence voltage? The propane is an awesome idea, I would have never thought of it.

BTW, the grey (GY) wire is the PCM reference 5.0v wire and the light green (LG) is the signal wire. Of course, black is ground.
