pulling engine & tranny together

I'm wondering if you can pull the engine & automatic tranny of a 2001 new beetle together in one piece. I'm planning on switching them both out at the same time..

I think you lift the body up over the engine/trans which stays on the ground. One of the members here had a pix of one being done.

you have to pull the front clip and bumper and fenders off and it all comes out as one. Its not easy to do in a garage because you cant remove from above, it needs to be taken out from under
