FYI: Some time ago I asked a question about a 2000 blazer that, at the time start, and had changed most every part up to the electronics. The fule pump, distributor cap and rotor, coil wire, plugs, and fule filter. The very first thing I changed was the fule filter but it made no difference. The second part change was the distrubutor cap and rotor. The car started and ran three city blocks and died and had to push it back to the garage. We went on and changed the other parts just not knowing excactly what the problem was. We did a fule pressure check and leak down after the new fuel pump was installed and no problems showed up. The engine would not fire. Finally several day's later we towed it to a shop we trusted and with in one and a half hours he called and told us to come and get the car. Talking with the mechnic we found out that the distributor cap had a hole in it which cause the not firing problerm. Remember I said that was the second part we changed. But, it did'nt hold up. Within that two block test ride we took it blew a hole in the cap and died on the road. We bought the part from Auto Zone which may or not be the problem. The mechnic told us that some of the parts from the auto supply parts stores are not worth the time to put in. So I guess its mechnic beware. Maby by genuine CM,Ford,Chry. parts. Who know for sure. In this case if we had we would have save our selfes over $700. By the way the auto is now running.

Thanks for sharing the info with us.
Yes there is many things you need to stay with dealer OEM type parts.
Read my header.
I have posted it over 7000 times to point people in the right direction.

It is sad that a lot of auto parts places sell and push the cheap china and 3 world 90 day wonder if they will run parts.

When they cost you a lot more in the long run.

On a GM car or truck remenber dealer type AC Delco oem electrical parts.
AC delco parts can also be had at a lot of good parts places.
