Anyone ordered the Ford Focus performance blue (http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?TAM24261) from hlj.com?

I did. Today my order changed from 'future release' to 'back order'.
Does this mean they're sold out allready? Or is it still not available yet.

I read somewhere it will be released 28th of February in Japan.

I was going to order it from Hobbysearch, but they're still showing it as unreleased. They only quote February, not a specific date, but seeing as it's the 25th it's got to be out soon :D

Hmm, I hope it's still available (although it's a limited release).

Can anyone tell how many models will be made of this one?

For as popular as it will be, considering the paint scheme, not enough:rolleyes:

I don't know if it has allrdy been officially released but a friend of mine bought it at the Nurhenberg Toy Fair in Germany. He allrdy finished the kit and is quite pleased with the quality.
I haven't seen it in Belgium shops so far but than again all modelling stores are having major problems with Tamiya shipments lately (the container has to go through the USA, England and Holland before they get to Belgium now).

And the old headlights as well :(
How do you mean a deceiving picture on the box.

Probably because the photo on the front of teh box of the real car has different headlights and 15 spoke Oz wheels, so this gives the impression the kit would have these, where the kit is still completely the 2001 kit without any updates the RS had.....

That is the way I understand it....

This is the same way I understood it, and still see no point in including nr 6 decals...

id rather have this then the wrc in my oppinion the decals and the kit it self are more useable for street car type build ..but the wrc is almoast imposible to do a normal looking street kit without major reconstruction

what id like to see is a regular focus and not the svt and then ull realy see what good modelers are made of when they make their own custon type kits as is with the handas and stuff like that

but im definatly putting this kit on my with list :)

That's the color HLJ suggests to use. Won't know for sure 'til I get the kit. And the wheels are now on the way.:D

Odd question, how can you order spray paint from Japan? Is it sent surface mail? Tower Hobbies lists it, but says they won't get it 'til late june.

The actual car looks like a pretty good match to Telefonica Blue, so that is probably the color you would use, as was mentioned.

Ray,
Chris told me that Rennaisance makes the 15 spoke OZ's that are needed to have the correct wheels. I havent looked into it yet but I figured I'd pass the word since you we're also looking for them

We know :)

Anyway, anyone tried these wheels before?

freakray

I know about those k-dog, but I am looking for other alternatives too.
Racing 43 also makes them but they are harder to find.....
Besides, the Renaissance set is only 4 wheels, the Focus carries a spare so you will actually want 5 wheels.
