A) can i change it from being a computer timed spark to a distributor
B) change the stock fuel pump to an inline and have no problems

I am sure you could change all those parts. You could get some of the older style parts off a car in your local junk yard. To me it sounds like a lot more work just for a demo car. I mean you already have to quite a bit of prep work to the car for the derby. If the car runs ok, I would just leave it stock. If it has one of those fuel shut off inerta switches in the trunk, I would certainly bypass that.

haha ya the fuel shut off is the first thing thats going.
the main reason i wanna change those things tho is becuase dealing with a computer in the pits is a pain in the butt. less wires the better. i was just hoping doing those 3 could be relatively cheap. think i saw a inline fuel pump that said it could work with v6-and v-8 for 50.00 CAN in princess auto. any reason something that like wouldn't work?
